Cinémots is a bilingual French-English dictionary of cinema & television terms. Translate filmmaking words instantly from French to English or from English to French.

There are over 2000 entries in each language, including words, phrases, expressions and acronyms. The app works offline, meaning no internet connection is required.

Cinémots is the highest quality French-English film dictionary available and is also the most contemporary and up to date. Both creative and technical filmmaking terminologies are included. Likewise, youll find both older film technology terms and newer digital media terms.

The interface is extremely intuitive. When viewing a translation card, tap a word to cross-translate it or hear your iPhone speak the translation in French or English (new feature in version 2!). Simply swipe a card sideways to review recent translations. You can also use the Share button to instantly email, message or save translations you find.
